Booking and cancellation terms
These Booking Terms and Conditions apply to bookings made, mediated by Metsä Heidi Oy (hereinafter referred to as the service provider) and by third parties.
The reservation can be made verbally, by phone or by e-mail. The reservation becomes binding when the customer has received the reservation confirmation in writing by e-mail.
The reservation is valid for the number of people indicated by the customer at the time specified in the confirmation.
After making the reservation and receiving confirmation, payment instructions will be sent to the customer. The reservation must be paid in full by the due date, before the start of the excursion.
Any changes to the reservation must be made in writing by email in accordance with the cancellation conditions.
The minimum age limit for excursions is 15 years, and anyone under 18 must have the consent of an adult guardian to participate in the excursion.
The tours are mainly carried out on foot, skis or bicycles, so the physical condition must be moderate. We ask that you inform us of any health issues that may affect your performance.
The service provider has appropriate and up-to-date safety plans for all its activities, which are always reviewed at the beginning of the trip. The service provider considers the health and safety of customers in accordance with Finnish laws and regulations.
The service provider reserves the right to change the route, schedule and duration of the program without prior notice if necessary, if weather conditions, the health of the participants or other circumstances warrant this.
The service provider reserves the right to interrupt the program if the participant's actions cause a safety risk for themselves or other participants, or if the participant's health does not allow the program to continue.
The service provider has valid liability insurance. However, the customer participates in the tours at his own risk, and we require comprehensive travel insurance from those participating in the tours. The service provider is not responsible for damages or injuries that are the result of the participant's own actions contrary to the given safety instructions.
The prices include all services described in the products and taxes. All rights to changes are reserved, and the service provider is not responsible for possible typographical errors in printed publications or price changes after publication.
Any comments and requests for corrections must be made to the guide at the destination during the program or immediately after, and also in writing by e-mail without delay. If this has not been done, the customer loses his right to price reductions and other compensations.
In the event of a possible disagreement, the parties will try to resolve the situation through negotiation. If no agreement can be reached, the Consumer Disputes Board or the District Court of Lapland acts as the arbiter.
Cancellation terms
The reservation is paid within the pre-agreed time frame and the payment must be reliably proven before the start of the excursion.
The reservation can be canceled no later than 7 days before the start of the program, in which case the amount paid will be returned to the customer minus a €10 processing fee.
If the reservation is canceled no later than 24 hours before the start of the program, the customer will be refunded 50% of the total amount paid, minus an additional €10 processing fee.
If the reservation is canceled 24 hours or later, the payment will not be refunded.
If the customer has to cancel his reservation due to illness, if possible, the reservation can be moved to another date free of charge.
These booking and cancellation conditions have been updated on 18 December 2023. Metsä Heidi Oy is not responsible for changes beyond our control after the publication of these terms and conditions.
